Implementation of Forest Rights Act

The implementation of the Forest Rights Act (FRA, 2006) across Kerala has secured extensive land and community rights for forest-dwelling communities. Statewide, 29,541 Individual Rights titles covering 39,112.58 acres, 289 Community Rights titles covering 7,88,316.14 acres, 29 CFRR (Community Forest Resource Rights) titles spanning 7,45,426.24 acres, and 906 Development Rights titles for 224.01 acres have been issued. Additionally, land rights allocation includes 495 titles (95.64 acres) under Land Bank allocations and 4,217 titles (5,263.83 acres) over Vested Forest Land, reflecting Kerala's comprehensive progress in executing forest rights recognition.
